- Release dates :
Finland - December 17, 1965 (1st Finnish dubbing) (Cinema)
Finland - December? 1993 (2nd Finnish dubbing) (VHS) - The Sword in the Stone was the second Disney movie to be dubbed into Finnish, but the first movie to be fully dubbed, for both speaking and singing, as the 1962 Finnish dubbing of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs only dubbed the dialogues, using the Swedish version for the songs.
- The first Finnish dubbing (1965) was released once on home-media, for the 1980s rental VHS. The second dubbing (1993) was made for the first VHS sales.
- The Owl Archimedes is dubbed by a woman in the 1st Finnish dubbing (1965).
- Kauko Helovirta reprised his role as Merlin in the second dubbing, 28 years after voicing him in the first version.
- Kauko Helovirta was miscredited as Kaiko Helovirta in the DVD credits.
- When the 1993 VHS was released, Pekka Lehtosaari, the Dubbing director, went to buy it and played it. He noticed then a mastering sound mistake. Upon contacting the mastering company in England (Shepperton?), the latter placed the blame on the Finnish sound editing team. Thanks to the help of Jari Ikonen, who pretented that Finland was sending someone over to check what the real problem was, the English mastering studio eventually admitted their mistake. The distributor ordered a second edition of those VHS with the problem fixed, promissing to change the defective ones if people complained - however, nobody did.
